back to bloggin

I haven't done this since March and it's about time i get in the routine of it. I thought I'd better do it too so that my friends could keep up better.

So.. what's been going on with me. Well my move has been amazing! My dogs have been awful! and the few trips home have been much needed and eye-opening. This past weekend I flew home for Chelsea's bachelorette weekend in Galveston. All of the bridal party was present except for Chelsea's cousin Whitney (who is prego) and Hooper's sister Holly. The rest of the list that went were Chelsea (of course), Anna, self, Leslie, Shanna, Kayla, Faith, Holly, and Lissa. We had such a good time! it has been so weird not to see these girls on a weekly basis and them just be a phone call away.. so getting to spend an entire weekend with them put me right back where I needed to be. I love my girls!! We rented this really nice condo out on Pointe West in Galveston and it was fun! it was kind of like a mini-resort. there were a couple of pools, of course we chose to visit the one where we could byob most frequently. they had a bar/restaurant which we ate at friday night and the beach was just outside our back door. we suprised Chels with a lingerie shower, even featuring the ever so handsome Edward Cullen!! I thought she was going to die when she heard the fake knock on the door and us trying to tell her it was a stripper.

I came home sunday evening to an empty house. Nolan is out working for April's friends Rob and Tonya at a college in Kansas City (about 3 hours away), unloading and installing dorm room furniture. He is coming home today, finally!! I have been missing him something terrible.

The band is doing very well. After the Telluride win, they are getting phone calls and emails left and right with offers and better shows.

The dogs are going to be the death of me...and maybe my neighbors too. I can't keep the dogs in the yard to save my life other than putting Daisy on a harness and chain that is screwed into the cement. This works very nicely but I feel bad having her chained up, and today the damn harness as taken apart and my fingers just couldn't get it back together. Lydie has been very strange since the move. I've actually considered getting rid of her, which is the most awful thought ever! but she has tried to bite me on several occasions and I won't tolerate a biting dog. Poor Nolan, I feel like all I ever do is complain about those damn dogs! Hopefully when we get into the big house, and have a real fence without anyone messing with it, our problem will be solved.

I also started a new job on July 15 (my birthday for those of you who forgot) and it's been going well. I'm obviously really busy as I blog at work ;) things haven't quite all worked out yet to where I'm not just sitting her bored out of my mind but in good time they will.

Ok hopefully I'll do a better job of taking care of this thing for you guys. have a lovely evening! yay work is almost over :)

oh and once I get myself an external hard drive at home, I can put some updated pictures up on this thing once I figure out how.
